The painting is a view looking at an area of water that surrounds one of the holes on Yas Island. I wanted to capture the fruity, loud, tropical green of the grass with exotic undertones. The colour that I used almost fluoresces on its own, and cuts right into mixes to reveal light sappy yellows. The contrast of the brilliant white light reflecting off the channel during the late eveining when the mature mangroves turn to a heavy, vegetable green
