New Work Summer 2020

Summer Art Weeks 2020 #artweeksfromhome

The dates for the 2020 Summer Art Weeks were due to be Saturday 20th June to Sunday 5th July. Last year I took part in the 'Open Studios' run by Warwickshire Open Studios. It was a great experience to open up my home and studio for people to view my work. It was a success in terms of the number of visitors and the wonderful conversations that I had with fellow artists and art enthusiasts. I started a visitors book and the comments that many people made were incredibly complimentary and I have taken a lot of encouragement from the ultimate compliment which is when somebody purchases my work. I was really looking forward to exhibiting at Compton Verney Museum and Art Gallery during the Summer Art Weeks but instead I have created a virtual online gallery to browse and purchase new work.

'Summer Landscapes'

A new collection of paintings to celebrate the beauty of the landscape that is in close proximity to Stratford Upon Avon where I am based. I have chosen to focus on some of my favourite views that I enjoy visiting and painting. This year I was due to exhibit at Compton Verney Museum and Art Gallery and some of my recent paintings are inspired by the beautiful lake and grounds. Other views that I have painted include the Welcombe Hills which is a nature reserve for walking and taking in the views across the landscape with flower-rich grassland, woods and ponds. I am fortunate to live in the Clopton area of Stratford- Upon-Avon and during lockdown I have spent many hours walking with my daughter and partner around the beautiful countryside, which has provided endless inspiration for this new series of work.

Just click the image to see purchase details and more images for each painting, from 30cm x 30cm pieces up to large paintings with impact. If you are local to me in Warwickshire I can bring the work to you, or you can collect from me.
